Iva Jeane Ogden passed away June 25, 2011 in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was resident of the Nowata Nursing Center. Iva was born on January 31, 1926 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Calvin C. Cullison and Lydia "Satchel" Cullison. She married Carl D. Ogden Sr. of Nowata October 13, 1945. They lived in Nowata for 25 years and divorced in 1970. She then moved to Coffeyville where she was a resident for many years until moving to the Nowata Nursing Center. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Nowata. She was employed by Anthony's in Coffeyville, Kansas for 18 years before retiring in 1993. Her favorite hobby was sewing. She also enjoyed bingo, crafts, reading newspapers, church, and music programs. Iva is survived by two sisters; Nadine Yarbrough of Hutchinson, KS, and Sarah Saner of Coffeyville, KS. Two sons; Calvin "Fuzz" Ogden and his wife Diane of Nowata, OK, and Phillip Ogden and his wife Margie of Nowata, OK. and daughter-in-law Vicki Ogden of Florida: ten grandchildren Carin Schoppmeyer and her husband Martin of Arkansas, Brian Ogden, Travis Ogden and his wife Kristy, Kristy Ogden and Daniel Yount, Jr., Michele Barefield and her husband Brian, Molly Ogden all of Ohio; Stacey LaBarr and husband Tim of Texas, Shannon Armstrong of South Coffeyville, OK; Kristi Spurgeon and husband Jim of Nowata, and Candy Fite and husband David of Mangum, OK. Iva is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; Kayla, Haley and Jordan Ogden, Daniel Yount the 3rd , and Brynn Yount, Ashley and Brittany Barefield, Hayden LaBarr, Lacey Hamilton and husband Thad, Walker and Ryan "Wyatt" Armstrong, Katey and Abby Spurgeon, and Rigley Fite. One great-great grandson Dylan Hamilton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Lydia Cullison, two brothers John and George Cullison, a sister Mabel Burruss and her son Carl D. Ogden, Jr.
