Jackie Dale Shobe, 69 year old, lifetime grove area resident, passed away Saturday October 12, 2013. Jack was born on July 28, 1944 in Stella, Missouri to Marvin Dudley and Ruby Mae (Miller) Shobe. Jack graduated from Grove High School in 1963. He was a farmer most of his life, but also worked as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed traveling with his R.V. but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Jack also enjoed woodworking and working with cattle and horses. He helped with Future Farmers of America and was an honorary chapter farmer. He also assisted with the Cowskin community center "The Grange" and attended Carr Baptist Church. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Shobe. Jack is survived by his daughter Robyn Brownfield of Grove, Oklahoma, step children, Angela Bittick of Joplin, Missouri, Curt Cook of Stark City, Missouri, Jeannie Gilbert of Neosho Missouri and Karen, Goodliffe of Covington, Georgia, a brother, Gale Shobe of Post, Texas, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial service for Jack will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Carr Baptist Church.
