Jack Sills

Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555..... Jack R. Sills passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Dallas, TX at the age of 92. Jack was born in Vinita, Oklahoma, on August 16, 1922 to Ralph and Ann (McDaniels) Sills. Jack served his country as a fighter pilot in WW II and earned his BS degree from University of Oklahoma. On May 17, 1958, Jack married Jean Hege Starr. Together with children Bobby and Karen, they traveled the world and retired after 34 years with Exxon, living in many places around the world including Aruba, Thailand, and Singapore before settling in Texas. Jack enjoyed golfing, watching OU on the television, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife Jean, daughter Karen Wright and her husband Mark of Grapevine, TX, brother Tommy Sills and his wife Doris Jean of League City, TX,four grandchildren: Kevin White, Amy Rast, Samantha White, and Michael Wright, as well as three great grandchildren: Nathan, Peyton, and Madison Rast. Jack is preceded in death by his parents and son, Robert Sills. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, OK with Rev. Alan McIntyre officiating.
