Jake Olsen-Correa, 23, of Grove, OK, passed away on November 21, 2013, after a tragic car accident on the cliff above Grand Lake's Blue Bluff Harbor near Grove, OK. He was born in Visalia, CA, on August 9, 1990, and in 2005 relocated with his family to Grove, a community he proudly called home. A graduate of Grove High School and Northwest Lineman College, Jake courageously loved one of the most dangerous jobs in the world: flying high in the sky as an aerial lineman. Jake was a prospect in the Loners Motorcycle Club where he had recently started doing what he did best: quietly and effortlessly making best friends with everyone he met. A clear-minded leader, Jake's boundless optimism and open-heartedness provided a guiding light for anyone needing some "Jake time." As comfortable sitting in a hunting blind as he was on a subway in New York City, Jake constantly helped everyone around him love life as much he did. Whether to sing a song, raise a toast, or give a gentle giant's hug, Jake was simply always there with his confident smile of blissful joy. A truly welcoming soul, Jake made no distinction between friends and family. For the countless survivors remembering him, he too would remember you. His family would like to thank all the caring supporters who have so openly shown their love. Jake would smile. Jake would give you a hug. Jake would be proud. Visitation will be held at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK, at 5 to 7 PM on Friday, November 29. Funeral Services will be held at Grand Lake Event Center at 2 PM on Saturday, November 30. All are welcome to attend. Friends and family may leave online condolences by viewing Jake's obituary at www.honoringmemories.com.
