James Lawrence Armstrong, 87 year old, Tulsa, Oklahoma resident passed away Monday February 21, 2011. James was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on June 19, 1923, to Ren and Iva (Brock) Armstrong. After graduating from high school in Jay, Oklahoma James married Juanita (Duncan) on July 29, 1942. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. James moved from Jay to the Tulsa area in 1952 and founded Amstrong Hearing Aid Center. Today the center is being ran by the third generations of Armstrong's. James was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Evadee Lindsay. James is survived by his wife Juanita, children Larry Armstrong and wife Barbara of Port Isabell, Texas, Jan Guinn and husband Bill of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and a brother Oran Armstrong and wife Virginia of Williams, Oregon, as well as four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Graveside Services for James will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Duffield Cemetery in Jay, Oklahoma. Services will be conducted by Luke Byford. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Jay, Oklahoma.
