James Arrington

James E. "Pete" Arrington, 77, of Vinita, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007 at his residence. Born on July 17, 1929 in Sapulpa, OK to James and Evila (Brady) Arrington. Pete had lived most of his life in Vinita, was a deacon at the United Missionary Baptist of Vinita (Formerly the 1st Baptist Church) on South 4th in Vinita. He had retired as Senior Custodian from the Eastern State Hospital in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents, dau-Tonya, Sisters; Addie Belle and Leora, Brothers; Charles, John, David and Theopolis. He is survived by his wife; Frances, who he married on Jan. 9, 1993 in Vinita Children; Evila and James French of Vinita Nathela Arrington of Tulsa Melvin and Rena Arrington of Vinita Anita Arrington of San Diego Annette Arrington of Tulsa David and Lavonna Arrington of Vinita Deidre Chancey of Tulsa Sallie Arrington of Tulsa Lela Vanessa Arrington of Orlando Stepchildren; Kathy Wilson, Seneca Wilson, Christopher Landrum, Billy Landrum, Benny Reliford of Vinita and LaToria Reliford of Tulsa Brother- Julius Arrington of Claremore Sisters; Dora Wallace and Juanita Armstrong both of Chicago Stepsister Doris Ramsey of Vinita 32 Grandchildren, host of Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild Visitation will be Friday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church at 321 W. Illinois in Vinita with Rev. Farris Downing officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery of Vinita. Arrangements are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
