James Glyndon (Jim) Bogle, age 75, was called to be with his Lord and Savior August 2, 2010. Jim was born May 24, 1935 to Clifford and Robin Bogle on a small farm in northern Mayes County. Jim attended and graduated from Langley Grad School, Ketchum High School, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, and numerous military technical schools. Jim was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force and the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Navy. He served in a flying status the final thirteen years of his military career. A flight crew member on P2 Neptune and P3 Orion Navy Patrol Aircraft. Jim rapidly advanced to his grade of Chief Petty Officer and was serving in that grade at the time of his retirement following twenty-two years of service. Subsequent to his military retirement, Jim worked for Grand River Dam Authority for twenty-two years as a system operator at GRDA's Energy Control Center at Korr Dam. Jim was a past member of the Boy Scout of America, Sunnyvale Elks Lodge, Sunnyvale, CA, and the First Baptist Church of Langley. He was a current member of the American Legion, Fleet Reserve Association and life member of the National Rifle Association. Jim was a very good shot and enjoyed quail hunting and skeet shooting. He attended Dove Ministries Church of Jenks. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Ynonne Hyden of Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife Kay of the home, one brother Gary Bogle of Langley, three daughters; Yvonne Rogers of Inola, Patricia Lane of Langley, and Christi Johnson of Coweta, 2 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Dove Ministries Church of Jenks with Pastor Larry Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Ketchum Cemetery.
