James Edward Brown Obituary Grove, OK - James Edward Brown, 56, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Freeman Heart Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on October 7, 1954 in Winchester, Indiana to Hugh Edward and Eleanor Frances (Owens) Brown. Jim proudly worked as an EMT and volunteer firefighter for many years. He was a very caring and accepting follower of Christ who enjoyed playing bass guitar, fishing and being a "Jack-of-all-trades." Survivors include Jo Ann Brown, mother of his children; son, Jeremy Brown, of Grove; and daughters, Randi Jo Brown, of Grove, and Wendy White (husband: Zach) of Bradenton, Florida; granddaughters, Zoe and Ava, of Bradenton, FL; two brothers Joe Brown (wife: Margaret), Bob Brown (wife: Tammy), both of Indiana; three sisters, Linda Cavanaugh (husband: Don), Lois Brown, and Lila Oliver; and his aunt, Sue Owens, of Indiana. Sisters-in-law, Nancy Smith and Mary Allen, as well as brother-in-law, Michael Hoffman (wife: Felicia), all of Illinois. Jim was also blessed with several nieces and nephews: Nicole, Rebecca, Krissy, Kirsten, Jill, Lyndi, Christa, Cheyenne, Jordan, Josh, Justin, Jon, Stephen, Justin, and Dustin. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Grove Civic Center.
