Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK (918)786-2261 ~ James Norman Coats, 80, year old Grove, OK, resident passed away on May 5, 2016, in Joplin, MO. Norman was born on October 14, 1935, in Chillicothe, Texas. He was the son of Albert Coats and Linne (Anderson) Coats. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1959. Norman was married Julia Jane Ooten. He was a member of the Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening and traveling in an RV and wintering down south. He was a people person. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Linnie Coats and his brother Edwards Coats. He is survived by his wife Jane of the home; three children, James Craig and wife Yvonne of Ketchum, OK, Carrie Beth Wilson and husband Bill of Wagoner, OK, and Chris Coats of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren, Tyler Young, Tanner Young, Daniel Wilson, John Lane and Ashton Coats; one sister in law, Jennette Coats; four nephews, Scott, Steve, Brad and Brett; and two great granddaughters, Lilly and Annika Young. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, at 11:00 am at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK. Brother Doug Rainbolt officiating.
