Mr. James Brett Delmas, 49 years old, died Friday July 3, 2009 at Nowata, Oklahoma. A Mass of the resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday in the sanctuary of St. Catherine's Catholic Church with The Reverend Orencio Mumar officiating. Rosary for Mr. Delmas will be said at 7:00 pm on Monday in the Chapel of the Benjamin Funeral Home. Final committal rites will be accorded Mr. Delmas on the family plot of the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of the Benjamin Funeral Home. James Brett Delmas was born in Nowata, Oklahoma, July 6, 1960, the son of Arthur and Zita Delmas. He was raised in Nowata and attended Lenapah Schools graduating High School in 1978. James has made his home in Vinita at the Home of Hope since 1988. James has participated in the Special Olympics for many years and enjoyed Rodeo and Bowling. James is survived by two brothers, Stephen Delmas of Nowata and Brian Delmas of Ashville, North Carolina, two sisters, Shawn Elise Eads of Coffeyville, Kansas and Zita Elaine January of Nowata, Ok, numerous Nieces and Nephews, friends and his Home of Hope family in Vinita, Ok. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Zita Delmas and his sister Kathleen Delmas.
