Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555 -- -- James Laramore "Jim" Haney, 87 year old Big Cabin resident, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Jim was born in Big Cabin on December 18, 1928 to J. T. Haney, Jr. and Flava (Laramore) Haney. He served his country in the United States Army. On August 15, 1968 he was united in marriage to Carol Ann Wiggins. He was a member of the American Legion Dale Peace Post #40, the Oklahoma Cattleman's Association, and Cowboy Junction Church. He worked most of his life as a Rancher. He was known for his great sense of humor, telling jokes, his magic dime tricks, and his daily trips to the coffee shop. Survivors include his wife Carol Ann Haney of the home, children: Doug Haney and wife Sue of Blandon, PA, Reva Schumacher and husband Josh of Claremore, OK, Jimmy Crane and wife Peggy of Afton, OK and Robert Crane of Big Cabin, OK, brother J. V. Haney and wife Catherine of Tulsa, OK, sister-in-law Bonnie Haney of Amarillo, TX, 5 grandchildren: Jonathan Haney and wife Becky, Julie Berk and husband Kevin, Kaleigh Schumacher, Toni Crane, and Jimmy Lee Crane, 4 great grandchildren: T. J. Haney, Braden Berk, Bryce Berk, and Jordan Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother George Haney. Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 10-11:30 at Cowboy Junction Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Wade Markham officiating.
