James Holderness

Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel of Langley, 918-782-4400 --- James Patrick "Pat" Holderness, 71 year old resident of the Coves on Bird Island, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. He was born on September 3, 1943 in Ft. Worth, Texas to James Lewis Holderness and Stella Lanora (Revill) Holderness. After high school Pat attended Tarrant County Junior College, Ft. Worth Technical College and TCU, becoming a machinist. Pat owned and operated Grand Vending Company. He had moved to Oklahoma in the late 70's from Texas. Pat enjoyed golfing, and teaching the game to kids, he also enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers Baseball Team. Preceding him in death were his parents, a very special friend, Hunter Harris and his Aunt Tommie Revill. The family includes; his wife LaQueta of the home; children, Kyla Holderness of Tulsa, Morgan Joyce Drosche and husband Jesse of Miami, Sunnye Janae Haff of Cleora, Clesta Darnaby of Grove and Alex Johnson of Ketchum; his cousin, who was like a brother, Gary Smith and wife Lida of Vinita, brother, Brent Holderness of Weatherford, Texas, sister, Lisa Elmendorph of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Aubree Drosche, Larissa Darnaby, Jimmy and Kyle Darnaby; great-grandchildren, Bradford, Penn and Max Darnaby; special nephew, Vince Vaughn of Vinita; good friends, Jerry Gwynn, Ron Miller, Steve Downing, and Craig Downing; his dogs, Queenie and Buster; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel in Langley. Serving as casket bearers: Charley Johnson, Phylets Johnson, Brad Johnson, Alexander Johnson, Vince Vaughn, and Jesse Vaughn. Honorary will be the "Noon Group". The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Cleora United Methodist Church, with Pastor Stephen Nation officiating. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
