James Ray Krouse, 54, passed away June 3, 2013 at the Osage Nursing Center. He was born May 11, 1959 in Nowata to Barbara (McKay) and John B. Krouse. He was a 1977 graduate of Nowata High School. James was a very talented musician who, from his early days playing the Attic, in downtown Nowata with Blue Tic, Day Breaks, and ZZorker's Ridge, to his later years with various other bands, played drums, lead guitar and piano, well. He also loved camping and fishing, motorcycles and long car rides. James was a handyman, able to fix about anything and a notorious practical joker. James is survived by his parents John and Barbara Krouse of Nowata; two children, Bailey Krouse and Colby Krouse both of Nowata; two brothers, Bradley and wife Beverly of Rogers, Arkansas, Johnny and wife Kelly of Nowata; a granddaughter, Abigail Krouse, and his dog Mya.
