James Maples Jr.

James Edward Maples Jr. a seventy year old resident of Grove passed away at his home Thursday, October 7, 2010. He was born on August 9, 1940 in Trona, California to James Edward Sr. and Anna Lois (Crossland) Maples. James worked as a welder on the assembly line and also the Multi Level division loading cars at the train yard in the Claycomo, Missouri Ford Motor Company plant while living in Liberty, Missouri. He retired in 1991 after thirty years of service to Company. He then moved to Grand Lake to enjoy the lake home he had built with family and friends while working at Ford. He enjoyed being on the lake boating and fishing and riding sea doos with his friends and family. Mr. Maples was a Veteran in the United States Navy he served on the Midway Air Craft Carrier. Mr. Maples was preceded in death by his father James Maples Sr., his sister Virginia Sara Paquin, a brother in law Paul E. Paquin Sr. Survivors include his wife Shirley K. Maples of the home, his mother Anna Lois Maples, his children James "Jimmy" Maples III and his wife Annette, Ronnie M. Maples and his wife Sheila, James Lee Clark, Venice E. Hilton and her husband Bob Robert D. Martin Jr. and his wife Gale, Shannon Andres and her husband Jeff, Julie E. Dixon and her husband Jerry, Denise K. Murphy and her husband Larry, Tammy L. Motley and her husband Larry, Robbin L Marrant and her husband Ronnie, along with twenty-seven grandchildren and fourteen great grand children, and many other relatives nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be on Friday, October 8, 2010 from noon until 8:00 PM and the family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 2:00 PM until service time on Saturday, October 9, 2010 all at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Funeral services for James will be on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove. Interment will follow at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove. Military rites willl be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
