James C. Pollock, 87, of Nowata, OK passed away October 6, 2011 at the Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center. He was born on January 20, 1924 to Adis Clark and Leah Isabelle (Coleman) Pollock in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Mr. Pollock married Phyllis Mills in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 23, 1964. Jim was a cabinet maker by trade and enjoyed woodworking. He also enjoyed his ministry of playing his guitar and singing at various nursing homes and churches. Jim had a passion for horses and was rarely seen without his cowboy boots. Jim is survived by: his wife, Phyllis of the home; six sons: Kenneth Pollock and wife Margaret of South Carolina, John Pollock and wife Jane of North Carolina, Donald Pollock of California, Audie Mills and wife Sophie of California, Jesse Mills of Bartlesville, and Arthur Mills of Nowata; two sisters: Patricia Forbis and Dorothy Bloom and one brother, Willard Pollock; thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Mr. Pollock was preceded in death by: his parents, Adis and Leah Pollock and an infant son, David Wayne Pollock. Memorial Services for James will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Trinity Full Gospel Church with Rev. Sherman Mullis officiating. Services were entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service.
