Disney, OK - James Kenneth Secor, 87, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kenneth was born October 25, 1919 on White River, near Lowell, Arkansas to Arthur James Secor and Grace (Stanley) Secor. He grew up on the White River and began farming, there. Kenneth married Virginia Mae Rogers at the Methodist Church in Springdale, Arkansas on January 9, 1943. In 1950, the Secors moved to the Tulsa area and Kenneth began working in the building contractor business. In 1954, he started his own contracting business and continued until his retirement in 1980. Upon his retirement, the couple moved to the Cherokee Estates and were members of the Disney Assembly of God. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and big game hunting, especially elk hunting. He was known as a kind, friendly man who loved to tease. Kenneth enjoyed "being a cowboy" and upon retirement, bought a horse. Survivors are his wife, Virginia, of the home; two sons, Ken Secor and his wife, Carol of Catoosa, Oklahoma and Gerald Secor and his wife, Ren of Claremore, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Leona Graham. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2007 at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery with Reverend Daryl Lee of the Disney Assembly of God, officiating.
