Big Cabin, OK - Jami Tala Helm, 31, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jami was born September 27, 1976 at Miami, Oklahoma to Dwight Helm and Lisa J. (Franks) Helm. She grew up in Big Cabin and began her education in the Big Cabin Schools. Jami was a graduate of Adair High School and attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma; Oklahoma State University; and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. She moved to Tulsa, two years ago and worked as a call center technician. Jami was of the Methodist faith. Survivors are her parents, Dwight and Lisa Helm of Big Cabin; her maternal grandparents, DeWayne and Kathrena Franks of Big Cabin; one brother, Trace Helm and his wife, Alesha, also of Big Cabin; two aunts, Gina Gammill and her husband, Thomas of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Tara Hargrove and her husband, Nolan of Pryor, Oklahoma; four cousins, Denton Gammill of Tulsa; Skyler Hargrove of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Kyle Hargrove of Springfield, Missouri and Paige Gammill of Fort Smith and by one niece, Jadyn Helm of Big Cabin. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Herb and Beatrice Helm. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2007 at Cowboy Junction, west of Vinita, with Pastors Barbara Plank and Wade Markham officiating. Interment will be in Big Cabin Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita. Family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Big Cabin Methodist Church.
