Jane Elliott

Jane Evelyn Elliott, 67, a resident of Grove passed away at Integris Grove General Hospital on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Mrs. Elliott was born on July 20, 1941 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Charles and Doris Evelyn (Linting) Elliott. Jane went to school to become a Registered Nurse. Nursing fit her well because she was a very caring, loving, gentle person. She worked as a public health nurse from 1962 until 1974; she then worked at Grove General and Eastern State Hospital. Jane loved to travel - Colorado was her favorite. She was a sports fan, especially football. She also loved to water ski and was a Cubs fan. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Grove. Her parents Charles and Doris Elliott precede her in death. Survivors include her caretakers, Charles and Helen Nelson of Grove along with her friends and church family. Graveside services for Ms. Elliott will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove with Reverend Marty Hughes officiating. Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Gideon's.
