Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma..................................... Janice Kay Wyrick, 67, of Nowata died Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Nowata. She was born April 3, 1949 in Nowata to Roy Lee and Jewel (Elledge) Berry. Jan was a 1967 graduate of Nowata High School. On October 24, 1969 she married the love of her life, Richard Wyrick. They made their home in Tulsa for four years before returning to Nowata where they have lived since. Jan was employed at The First National Bank of Nowata for 26 years before retiring in 2001. She attended the Oologah First United Methodist Church and was a member of FOCAS. Jan enjoyed spending time with her friends shopping, volunteering at Nowata's Glenn C. Moore Elementary School with friend Sandra Craven, working for the Nowata County Election Board and Attending OU football games with her Sister Erville, niece Joni Lehmann, son Keith and his fiancée Jessica, and numerous friends made over the years in Norman. She and Richard would make many trips to Branson to see shows and the sights. One of favorite activities was sitting on her deck and swinging. Jan was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She had a special place in her heart for all her family and friends. Jan will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband Richard, of the home, one son Keith, and his fiancée Jessica Lambert, of Irving, Texas; one brother, Charles Berry and his wife Carol, of Tulsa; two sisters, Margie Pierce, and husband Bill of Bartlesville, Erville Orndorff, and husband Jim of Bartlesville; a sister-in-law Frances Berry; many other relatives, and a host of friends. Preceding Jan in death are her parents, Roy and Jewel Berry; three brothers, Eugene Berry, Warren Berry, Kenneth (K.B.) Berry; a sister Helen Ward; one brother-in-law, Gary Ward. Funeral services for Janice Wyrick will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Oologah First Methodist Church with Reverend Jennifer Long and Ben Killion officiating. Burial will follow at the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.
