Jason Scott LaFremier, 37-year-old Nowata resident, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Rogers County. Jason Scott LaFremier was born January 15, 1970 in LaMiranda, California to Henry LaFremier and Norma Ridenhour-LaFremier. Mr. LaFremier's family moved to the Nowata area when he was 7 months old. He grew up and attended schools in Nowata and then went on to receive training at the Spartan School of Aeronautics where he was certified in Airline Mechanics. Mr. LaFremier had most recently been working as a carpenter on several residential projects in the area. Mr. LaFremier loved fishing and shooting guns. He had also recently been teaching himself to play the electric guitar. At an early age, Mr. LaFremier was known for taking his toys apart and then successfully putting them back together. This childhood hobby carried on and developed into a love for collecting and working on cars. Mr. LaFremier loved music and was a huge AC/DC fan. He also loved playing video games on his Game Cube, but perhaps most of all he loved helping people. Mr. LaFremier is survived by his parents, Norma and Henry LaFremier of Nowata; by sisters, Jennel Wood and her husband Steve of Bartlesville, Michelle LaFremier of Bartlesville, Lanette Kramer and her husband Russ of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, and Krisit Showalter and her husband Jeremy Lyons of Kansas; by his grandfather, Harvey Ridenhour; by a niece, Kelsey Wood; and by nephews, Zack Wood, Jakob Kramer, Alec Kramer, Wyatt Showalter, and Deacon Showalter; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
