Jaxine Gasper, age 59, died on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jaxine was the daughter of Jack and Freda M. (Payton) Bushyhead; she was born on April 23, 1952 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Jaxine received her Associates degree from Haskell College in Lawrence, Kansas. She worked in the medical health industry as a LPN for over 30 years at many area hospitals including the Jay Hospital, Grove Integris Hospital and most recently the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Duane Gasper in 1975. Jaxine was a kind and loving person who always had a smile for everyone. As a nurse, she was an absolute professional who showed compassion and gentleness to her patients. Jaxine had the type of personality people were drawn toward. She had the love and light of Jesus and it shined brightly from within. Jaxine was a special angel. Jaxine was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gordon W. Bushyhead. She is survived by her husband, Duane; three brothers; Jack Bushyhead, Jr. and his wife Keita, John Bushyhead and his wife Terri, and Jesse Bushyhead; four sisters, Leona Forrester and husband Clyde, Charlotte Earnest and husband Mark, Lou Ella Weirich and Sarah Watts. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Delaware Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Bishop officiating.
