Mrs. Jennifer Elizabeth Ames, 43 years old, died Friday November 21, 2008 at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa. Funeral services for Mrs. Ames will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Living Word Church in Nowata, Ok. Rev. Jim Winslow of the Living Word Church will preside over the services, with interment to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Lenapah, Ok. Jennifer Elizabeth Ames was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada, September 9, 1965, the daughter of Royal Henry Stone and Geraldine (Henderson) Stone. Jennifer's father was working as a Petroleum Engineer with Phillips Petroleum Company and the family moved back to Delaware, Ok when she was 12 Years old. She continued her education in the Delaware Public Schools graduating in 1983. Jennifer attended college in Miami, Ok and Stillwater, Ok before returning to live in Canada for several years then returning to Deleware with her children. Vernon Dewayne Ames and Jennifer Elizabeth Ames were united in marriage on January 1, 1998 in Tulsa, Ok. They made their home in Lenapah, Ok. Jennifer attended church for several years at the Living Word Church in Nowata. Her passions included shopping and collecting anything with cows and frogs. Her family has many fond memories of her and will miss her most common expression "I'll do it tomorrow" She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Jennifer is survived by her husband Vernon Dwayne Ames, by nine children, David Henry Little, Kyle Dwayne Ames, Wesley Eugene Ames and his wife Ruth Diane, Makayla Nichole Ames, Tyler Lee Ames, Casandra Danielle Perfors, KelsieLynn Kimberley Perfors, Preston Brant Perfors and Matthew Ryan Ames, two grandchildren, four siblings, Carole Straughn, Pam Newton, John Stone and David Stone and several nieces and nephews.
