Mr. Jerry Ray Elliott, age 64, and resident of Copan, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013, in St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jerry Ray Elliott was born January 26, 1948 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was the son of Marion E. Elliott and Reba T. (Short) Elliott. He received his education in Cherryvale, Kansas where he graduated high school in 1967. On November 25, 1969, Jerry and Naomi Smith were united in marriage in Edna, Kansas. They have resided in Copan for more than 25 years. Jerry was a truck driver and had his own truck and was owner/operator from 1984 to 1993. During that time, he drove from coast to coast. He enjoyed driving very much. Jerry loved his family and enjoyed every moment with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all his family, as well as his many friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Garrett Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Naomi of the home; his two children, Rorry Elliott and his wife, Amy, of Copan, and Lorie Kerr and her husband, Bill, of Wagoner, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Taylor Elliott, Sam Elliott, Alesha McVay and Nicholas Kerr; one great grandchild; two sisters, Dareda Plumley of Dennis, Kansas, and Carol Foster and her husband, Garry, of Coffeyville, Kansas; two brothers, Jim Elliott of Independence, Kansas, and Jeff Elliott of Cherryvale, Kansas; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
