Benjamin Funeral Service, Nowata, OK (918)273-2700***Jesse Leonard Perkins, 72, of Vinita, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Nowata. He was born August 16, 1945 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Jodie Richard and Frances (Bringham) Perkins. Jesse attended school in Lenapah, OK. He spent many years working for the Stewart and Sharp family farming and ranching. On March 20, 1996, he married Betty Kleier in Coffeyville, KS. In his spare time Jesse enjoyed fishing, playing horse shoes, and spending time with family. He held a special place in his heart for his children and grandchildren. Jesse will be missed by all who knew him. Jesse is survived by his wife Betty of the home; four children, Bill Perkins of Wichita, Kansas, Bradley Perkins and wife J.J. of Nowata, Oklahoma, Sheri Vann and husband Chris of Owasso, Oklahoma, Jami Perkins of Vinita, Oklahoma; one Sister, Betty Lou Armstrong of Vinita, Oklahoma; Eight grandchildren, Kayley Perkins, Travis Perkins, Annjolee Perkins, Codie Perkins, Dylan Perkins, Caleb Perkins, Katelynn Perkins, Christopher Vann. Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Jodie Richard Perkins, his mother Frances Marie (Bringham) Perkins, two brothers, Robert Perkins and Edward (Bud) Perkins, two sisters, Lillian Enloe and Lula Mae Kerns.
