Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261.James (Jim) Sheldon Gault passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the age of 88. Jim was born on July 14, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James Curtis and Willie Mae (Sheldon) Gault. He attended Tulsa Central High through his junior year and moved to Grove where he was an All-State football player and graduated from Grove High School. Jim began farming his senior year, he raised wheat, soy beans and milo, and he also raised cattle and hogs. Jim met and married the love of his life; Neva Jean Walker in 1948. He was a Sunday school teacher for the First Baptist Church in Grove for many years. Jim was the kindest hearted and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Renabell Martin and Joanna Howerton Jim is survived by his wife of 69 years; Neva Gault of the home, and three sons; Mike Gault and wife Ethel; John Gault and wife Teresa, and Jerry Gault and wife Diana all of Grove. He was blessed with six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Grove Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Southwest City, Missouri. Honoring Jim's life serving as casket bearers will be; Jason Gault, Shay Gault, Matt Gault, Laramie Gault, Jordan Gault and Guy Holt. Jim will be laid to rest at the Olympus North Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. Family and friends can leave online condolences by viewing Jim's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com.
