Jimmy Lee Berry, 72, of Nowata, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Wood Manor Nursing Center in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born October 22, 1938 in Delaware, Oklahoma to Arthur Lee and Hattie Elizabeth (Parsons) Berry. Jim grew up in Delaware County where he lived with his mother and father and three siblings. Jim attended Nowata schools where he graduated High School. Jim then moved to Mulvane, Kansas in 1957, where he worked for Boeing Aircraft. In 1968, Jim moved to Oologah, Oklahoma and went to work as a machinist for American Airlines. Jim retired from American Airlines in 1996. Jim then moved to Winganon, Oklahoma in 1994. Once Jim retired he then had time to enjoy his ranch while raising cattle. Jimmy is survived by his two sons, Chuck Berry of Oologah, Oklahoma and Curtis Berry and his wife, Wendi, of Winganon, Oklahoma; daughter, Dr. Lisa Young of Lyme, New Hampshire; step-daughter, Sherry Arico and her husband, Rick, of Winganon, Oklahoma; sister, Ruby Coogle and her husband, Richard, of Ft. Myers, Florida; brother, John Berry of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, A.J. Berry, Cole Berry of Oologah, OK, Brett Schuller and Blake Painter of Winganon, Oklahoma, Holly Kirk and her husband, Wyman, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Amanda Rico and Ashley Rico both of Winganon, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren, Hondo Kirk and Levi Kirk of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karla Berry and brother, Charles Berry.
