Jimmy Owens

Jimmy Dale Owens, age 61 of Vinita, died Saturday, February 25, 2012. Jimmy was born in Pryor on August 26, 1950 to James and Marie Owens. He moved into the Home of Hope community in 2001. Jimmy loved old westerns and country music. His favorite cowboy was John Wayne. He was also a fan of Bonanza, Lone Ranger, and Tonto. He enjoyed fishing, going to the state fair, participating in the Special Olympics, and sweeping the floors. He was known for his sense of humor and determination. Jimmy worked at the Rogers County Training Center in Claremore, the Hope Industries in Vinita, as well as participated in various church and community activities. He will be missed by all of his friends and family at the Home of Hope. Celebration of Life Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Home of Hope's Wodloe Park 24683 S 4400 Rd.
