Joann Case age 62 of Vinita died Sunday May 29, 2011 at Craig General Hospital with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 24, 1948 in Holden, MO the daughter of Willis Alvin Underwood and Jannie Roseann Tune Underoood. Joann was raised and educated in Vinita and worked at the Vinita Daily Journal delivering papers for many years and was a homemaker, devoted wife and mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband Leonard (Dean) Case of the home, one son and daughter in law, Michael and Michelle case of Big Cabin, one sister Sue and Butch Houk of California, a special living step dad William D. Winton of the home, two grand sons, Michael Glenn and Ricky Dean Case, whom she was very proud. Also included are nieces, Danielle Hoffman of Washington, Diana Byrd of Germany, a special niece Deinse Lowry of CA, a nephew and his wife Sonny and Sheri Underwood of Big Cabin, and numerous Aunts uncles cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and his wife J.R. and Charlotte Underwood and a sister Ruth Plesnicher. Visitation will be Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Luginbuel Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Graveside Funeral Services will be Wednesday June 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at White Oak Cemetery with Brother Bobby Wisdom officiating under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
