Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Jay, OK (918) 253-3222 - Joe Boney J.R., 70 year old Jay, OK, resident passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Joe was born on August 6, 1944, in Salina, OK, to Joe and Lydia (Wickliffe) Boney. He married Donna (Young) on March 14, 1995. Joe worked as a heavy equipment operator. He earned a college scholarship for basketball. Joe served in the 101st Airborne Rangers during Vietnam. He was a member of the Sycamore Springs Church. Joe enjoyed restoring old cars and working in his shop. He loved to travel. Joe loved being outdoors and going for walks. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lydia Boney; one sister, Wilene; and four brothers, Richard, Albert, Thomas, and Andrew. He is survived by his wife Donna Boney of the home; three stepsons, Chris Gardner, Kevin and Wayne Bishop all of Jay, OK; two daughters, Vanessa Boney of the home and Elizabeth Joe Boney of Salina, OK; two stepdaughters, April Stafford and Jennifer Stafford of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Roy Boney of Locust Grove, OK, and Leo Boney of Salina, OK; three grandchildren, Lindsey Jackson, Bailey Bishop and Gage Bishop; numerous nieces, nephews and friends adopted as family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood, Oklahoma. Duke Pickup will officiate. Interment to follow at Euwasha Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday July 8th at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
