Joe Henry "Hank" Hall, 78 year old, Jay, Oklahoma resident passed away, Saturday June 8, 2013 at his home. Joe was born on August 1, 1934 in Balmorhea, Texas to John and Beulah (O'Rear) Hall. Joe moved at a young age to Yuma, Arizona, and then to Laton, California. Joe married Violet (Sturges) on September 1, 1956 in Chico, California. Joe worked most of his life in the construction business, whether as a carpenter or a heavy equipment operator. He was a avid reader who loved music, especially, gospel and country. Joe played several different instruments, including, the guitar, the piano, as well as stand up bass. He was always active in the church and helped remodel the Disney Assembly of God, as well as build the current 1st assembly of God in Jay, Oklahoma. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Joe is survived by his wife Violet, and three sons, Tim Hall of Jay, Oklahoma, Rory Hall and wife Karen, of Miami, Oklahoma, and Mike Hall and wife Alice, of Branson, Missouri. Joe is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services for Joe will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the 1st Assembly of God, in Jay, Oklahoma. Reverend Bill Goldner will officiate. A visitation for Joe will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 12, 2013 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donations made be made in Joe's name to Legacy Hospice, 3 S Main St Miami, OK 74354 Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
