Joel was born to Andrew & Rosa (Flores) McMullin on July 25, 1960, in Okmulgee, OK. Joel spent the first seven years of his life living at home with his family. In 1967, Joel moved to his new home at Hissom Memorial Center is Sand Springs, OK. He remained at Hissom until the mid 80's, he then moved to a group home in Claremore, Ok. From Claremore he then moved to Chelsea and then to Vinita where he lived until he passed and went to Heaven to be with other family members who have gone before us. Joel loved nature! He loved the parks, going on rides to the lake and loved to run and play. He loved trains! Joel was truly a free spirit. Joel had a strong love for coffee, Dr. Pepper, chocolate, especially M&M's and Reece's Cups, and he loved to hear you sing Happy Birthday and Go to Sleepy Little Baby. Joel was preceded in death by his father, Andrew McMullin, sister, Matilda Lecot, sister, Yoma McMullin and nephew, James McMullin. Joel is survived by his mother, Rosa McMullin, sister, Estella Aguilera, sister, Guadalupe McCoy, her husband, Marvin McCoy, brother, Sergio Flores, brother, Roy McMullin, and wife Diane, brother, Marcus McMullin, sister, Rosanna Wisener and husband James, sister Sandra Gray, and husband, Jimmy and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church in Vinita followed by a reception to celebrate Joel's life. The McMullin family would like to thank his extended family Rob, Ellen, Benny, Amanda, Rick, Brandi and housemates Donald and Tom for their kindness and the unconditional love they had for Joel.
