Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma Funeral services for John Mark Campbell are 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Church on the Move in Tulsa with Pastor Rob Tumy officiating. Interment will follow at Relocated Cemetery in Nowata. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. John Mark Campbell, 65, of Claremore, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born in Nowata on December 6, 1948 to Francis Mead and Viola Maude (Clement) Campbell. Mark grew up in Nowata and graduated from Nowata High School. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force and after his honorable discharge, attended and graduated from Northeastern State University. Mark married Shirley Pugh on July 5, 1969 at Nowata. Mark has lived and/or coached and taught in Dewey, Bartlesville, Stratford, Tupelo, Meeker, Claremore, Bixby, and Collinsville. He was a pilot for Craftmaster Homes while in Bartlesville & Stratford. He was Pastor at Stonewall Assembly of God Church during his tenure in Tupelo. He, along with his late brother Paul, and his son, Jeff, owned and operated Campbell Construction his entire adult life. He attended Church on the Move in Tulsa. Mark was inducted into the Nowata High School Athletic Hall of Fame, Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches' Association Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Coaches' Association Hall of Fame. Mark is survived by his wife Shirley of the home; four children, Crystal Dawn and husband Jason Stewart of Springdale, Arkansas; Jeffrey Craig Campbell and wife Crystal of Claremore, OK., Melody Ann and husband Jerrod Stewart of Claremore, OK., Lacy Marie and husband Joseph Ragland of Claremore, OK; a sister, Mary Hewitt of Clarksville, AR; thirteen grandchildren, Ciera Yates, Katelyn Stewart, Billy Yates, James Stewart, Jonathan Stewart, Payton Yates, Cate Campbell, Addison Campbell, Luke Campbell, Callum Campbell, Madeline Stewart, Asher Ragland, Rain Ragland. Mark is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and their wives, James Campbell and his wife Georgia Paige, Paul Campbell and his wife Shirley and a brother- in-law, Bill Hewitt. Memorials in Mark's name can be sent to the Mark Campbell Scholarship Fund at BancFirst in Claremore, The Cancer Research Organization of the Donor's Choice, or simply check the organ donor box on your drivers' license.
