John Eberle

January 9, 1941 — July 27, 2014

A much loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend; John Eberle, 73, of Jay Oklahoma passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, in Tulsa Oklahoma, following a sudden illness. He was born January 9, 1941 in Craig Colorado to Herman Henry and Iva Lee (Williams) Eberle. After school John joined the United States Airforce, and served from 1958-1962 and received an Honorable Discharge. John loved spending time with his family. His biggest joy in life was his four grandchildren. He had a big heart and was a loving, gentle person who genuinely cared for people. He was a jokester and loved a good joke, as well as being apart of one. He loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, as well as traveling. He will be deeply missed because he was dearly loved by his wife of 42 years Marilyn (Wimberley) of the home; daughter Lisa Butler and husband Jim, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sons Roger Eberle and wife Jaimy, of Jay, Oklahoma; Bob Eberle and wife Stefanie, of Birkenfield Germany, and Bill Eberle of Jay, Oklahoma; a brother Don Eberle and wife Barbara, of Grand Prarie, Texas and four precious grandchildren Celina, Devin, Anna and Jenna. John was preceded in death by a son John Wayne Eberle, brothers, Thomas Eberle, and Raymond Eberle, and sisters, Shirley Eberle, Josephine Ann Curtis and Almeda Crowell. A celebration of life service for John will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August, 14, 2014 at the New Hope Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma.
