Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. John Francis Leonard, 81, passed away on June 4, 2017 at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma. John was born on February 7, 1936 in Kankakee, Illinois. He was the son of Jess and Celesta (Stowe) Buckner. John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 until 1963, and continued to work for the military as an electrical contractor for the department of defense at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. After serving the military, John moved to Oklahoma where he worked for several mobile home factories. Then he moved back to Owensboro, Kentucky where he worked as a church custodian for several years and took clown lessons where he enjoyed visiting and performing for children. Then he returned to Oklahoma where he finished out his work career with Fluor. John was also a very avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his family. John was preceded in death by his parents and one son John B. Leonard. He is survived by his four children, Scott Leonard and his wife Becky of Anderson, MO, Terry Leonard and his wife Maria of Grove, OK, Yvonne Smith and her husband Larry of Wyandotte, OK and Tracy Knight and her husband Randy of Jay, OK. He was blessed with many grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am at the Mt.
