Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555 -- John Alvin Ramsey, 52 year old Vinita resident, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016. He was born on February 1, 1964 in Denver, Colorado to Bill and Carolyn (Brown) Ramsey. John was a graduate of White Oak High School in 1982. He married Pamela (Kittrell) Ramsey on May 2, 2009 in Van Buren, Arkansas. John was a dispatcher for KAMO Power and worked part-time for Sherwin-Williams in Vinita. He was also an excellent carpenter, builder, remodeler and wood worker. John had also worked many years for the Oklahoma Forensic Center (Eastern State Hospital) in Vinita. He was preceded in death by his father Bill Ramsey and a step-daughter, Ande McCleery. The family includes: his wife Pamela of the home; his mother, Carolyn Ramsey of Denver, Colorado; his children, Cole and Kyle Ramsey of Vinita; step-daughter, Mande Harris of Vinita; brothers, Shawn Ramsey and wife Kim of Dickson, TN, Scott Ramsey of Colorado; sisters, Kelly Martinez and husband Jeremy of Denver, CO, and Julie Ramsey of Englewood, CO; grandchildren, Jacob McCleery, Chloe Corbit, Ande Corbit; and great-granddaughter Aaliyah Willbee. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Church west of Vinita, with Pastor Claud Strong officiating.
