Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Benjamin Funeral Home in Nowata, Oklahoma. John Kenneth Rose, 91, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born August 28, 1926 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Charlie and Minnie (MacDonald) Rose. John was educated at Elm Bend Schools in Nowata, Oklahoma. John was a self-employed rancher all his life. John was an active member of the Elk's Lodge in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Cattleman's Association; American Quarter Horse Association as an honorary member. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. John had many friends and will be missed by all who knew him. John is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Minnie Rose; Ex-wife Darlene Beatrice Rose; siblings, Ray, Gene, Bernice, Mary and Yvonne. John is survived by his daughter, Linda Carol Carter of Nowata, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chris Darlene Brown of Nowata, John Steven Chance Partain and wife Nancy of Nowata; great grandchildren, Jessica Dawn Farrow and husband Thomas of Nowata, Justin Cole Partain and wife Kaylee of Nowata, Nicole Brown and Dustin Brown; great great grandchildren, Rowdy Farrow, Rylan Farrow and Kaydence Prezlie Partain.
