Johnie Eugene Watt, 47, a resident of Dewey, Oklahoma passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, as a result of complications after receiving a liver transplant earlier this year. Johnie Eugene Watt was born July 30, 1965 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma the son of Larry Dean and Carolyn Ann (Smith) Watt. Johnie grew up in the Dewey and Copan areas, graduating from Copan High School in 1983. Following high school, Johnie worked various oil field related jobs and eventually operating Watt Well Service for a number of years. Later, he performed contract pumping mostly for Magnum Engineering. Declining health forced Johnie's early retirement in September 2011. Johnie was a member of the local stock car racing community. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching and being involved with his children's activities. He attended both the Warriors for Christ and the Dewey Church of God. Johnie was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents: Harold and Ruth Watt; maternal grandparents: Johnie and Sammie Smith; brother-in-law, Tarry Smith; uncle, Joe David Watt and a grandmother-in-law, Doris Gaines. He is survived by: his parents: Larry and Carolyn Watt; his wife, Tami Watt; children: Taylor, Samuel, Wiatt, Kyler and Ashlei; grandchildren: Lillei and Kenzie; sister, Cheryl Smith and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews along with a host of dear friends.
