Johnny Joe Fields 57 year-old Vinita resident, died Wednesday evening, October 17, 2007 at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita. Johnny was born September 2, 1950 in Caldwell, Idaho to Walter and Vera (Finnell) Fields. He worked for Hope Industries, and many other Home of Hope endeavors. Johnny was a participant in many Special Olympics in running events, as well as basketball and swimming. He loved to dance, dress up, listen to Elvis Presley music, hamburgers, cokes, and girls. The family includes: his mother, Vera Irene Fields of Grove, a sister, Janet Lynn Catt of Fairland, two brothers, Gary Fields and wife Vicki of Baxter Springs, Kansas, George Fields and wife Jan of Carthage, Missouri, five nieces and nephews, seven great nieces and nephews, many very good friends, especially the staff and his friends at the Home of Hope. His father preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening, October 19, 2007 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel in Vinita with Mr. Randy Engle officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
