ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Jon E. Hadwin, age 73 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016, in the Oklahoma Heart Institute, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jon Eugene Hadwin was born on August 15, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was the son of Rev. Thomas Eugene Hadwin and Ruth (Barto) Hadwin. He grew up in the Grand Rapids area where he received his education, graduating high school in the Grand Rapids public school system. Jon was employed as a Crane Engineer/heavy equipment operator. He worked for the C.A. Hull Company in Grand Rapids. He later raised and trained Morgan horses. Jon and Mary Ann Null were united in marriage on May 25, 2013 in Bartlesville. They have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. Jon was a member of the Spirit Church in Bartlesville. He was also a member of the Connect Group at the church. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, especially at the Keys in Florida. He loved animals, especially Morgan Horses. He enjoyed yard work and loved to read novels. He was a certified pilot and flew his own plane. Other activities which meant a lot to him were skydiving and bowling. However, time spent with family and especially his grandchildren were top of his list. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, of the family home; daughters, Renee Misak (Scott) of Lowell, Michigan, Stephanie Warneke (Jeff), of Bartlesville, Holly Null of Bartlesville, Stacie Nichols (Chad) of Bartlesville, and Abby Lackey (Wayne), also of Bartlesville; two brothers, Tom Hadwin (Loretta) and Jim Hadwin (Sherry), of Grand Rapids; 26 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; his son, John E. Hadwin, II; and one brother, Rev. Lon Hadwin. Memorial Services for Jon will be held on Monday, September 19, at 11:00 AM in the Spirit Church, Bartlesville. Dr. Darryl Wootton and Rev. Ike Amaro will be the officiants. Inurnment of the cremains will follow the service on Monday at 2:00 PM in the Vinita Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, Bartlesville.
