Benjamin Funeral Service ~ Jonathan Lee Wilson, 57, of Nowata, Oklahoma went home to be with the Lord at home on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 after a brief battle with brain cancer. John was born on May 27, 1958 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to the late Raymond Claude Wilson and Bobbie Hayes Wilson. He graduated from Delaware High School in 1976 and attended Rogers State College. John married Connie Campbell on June 23, 1978. They have two daughters by birth and four daughters and two sons by adoption. John was a material logistics specialist at American Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 30 years. He fulfilled his calling to be a minister in 2007 when he succeeded Paul Campbell, his father-in-law, to serve as pastor of Trinity Church. John is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Wilson, his grandparents Lee and Esther Hayes, and his father- and mother-in-law Paul and Shirley Campbell. John is survived by his wife, Connie Wilson; eight children, Amy Reaves and husband Chris Reaves, Holly Wilson, Lindsey Snyder and husband Brandon Snyder of Owasso, Kiera Wilson, Kayla Wilson of Edmond, Oklahoma, Martina Wilson of Williamston, South Carolina, Zachary Wilson, and Jacob Wilson; five grandchildren, Skyler and Jadyn Reaves, Anna and Andrew Snyder, and Ka'Myiah Wilson; his mother, Bobbie Wilson; brother, James Jones of Spokane, Washington; sisters, Sarah Thornburgh and husband Bobby Thornburgh of Valiant, Oklahoma, Pam Palone and husband Nick Palone, Karen Palone and husband John; and by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and a host of church family and long-time friends. A service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Trinity Church, 117 S Willow, Nowata Oklahoma with Rev. Jeff Hurwitz officiating and Jeff Campbell assisting. Visitation will be held at Benjamin Funeral Home on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Nowata County Relocated Cemetery. Memorials in John's name may be made to Trinity Church at 117 South Willow, Nowata, OK 74048.
