Grove - Johnathan (Jonne) Dene Foster Carinder, age 88, died July 7, 2008 at Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Jonne was born in Pershing, Oklahoma, December 6, 1916 to parents W.R. Foster and Lucy A. (Summerford) Foster. The youngest of six children during the Depression, Jonne was anxious to graduate from Barnsdall High School and make her way into the business world. After graduation, she attended business school in Tulsa. She was executive secretary to M.F. Powers at M.F. Powers Oil Company for 25 years until his death. She was later employed by Cities Service Oil Company until her retirement in 1985. In 1945, she married John A. Carinder and they resided in Tulsa, Oklahoma for approximately forty years. They were blessed with a daughter Lynda, in 1946. Following retirement, they moved to their dream home on acreages near Sperry, Oklahoma which they loved and enjoyed for 10 years until John's death in 1997. She is survived by daughter Lynda Fleming and husband Rusty, step grandson Jay Fleming and wife Sheryl and their children, Jordan & Jenny Fleming of Grand Lake, Oklahoma, also sister Jackie Gamble of Barnsdall, Oklahoma and her children Jack and Pat Gamble and their children, brothers Joe Carinder and wife Meredith of Tulsa, Oklahoma and James Carinder and wife Peggie of Edmond Oklahoma and their children. Jonne was always an active Christian and served at Memorial Drive Methodist Church and later was actively involved at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Tulsa, where her funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2008 with Reverend Ed Bateman officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Devotion at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove.
