Memorials in Josh's name may be made to the 1033 Wheelchair Van. Joshua Luke Stand, 35, of Delaware, passed away June 16, 2014 in Delaware. He was born in Bartlesville, OK on December 7, 1978 to Peggy and Billy Joe Stand, Jr. Josh was a lifelong resident of Delaware and attended Delaware and Oklahoma Union Schools and played one year of football for Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. He was a member of the Delaware First Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School there. He was employed by Bellco and worked on the asphalt crew for 10 years before leaving Bellco to be a Ranch-hand for his uncle. Josh loved to fish & hunt turkey and deer. He enjoyed his work and was always willing to help others and liked to harass his cousins. Joshua is survived by his mother Peggy Stand of Delaware; two brothers, Matthew Stand and wife Kira and Cody Stand both of Delaware; his maternal grandmother Donna Thomas of Delaware; paternal grandmother Trojia Stand of Delaware; a nephew, Landon Travis Stand, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his dad, Billy Joe Stand, Jr. on December 6, 2012; paternal grandfather Billy Joe Stand, Sr.; maternal grandfather Billy Joe Thomas; an uncle, Joe Thomas.
