Joyce Mead

Joyce Annette Mead, Jay resident, died Friday evening at Integris Grove Hospital at the age of 62 years. Joyce was born August 27, 1947 to Sherman and Myrtle (McRae) Buzzard in Eucha, Oklahoma. She lived in the Jay area most of her life. Joyce received her Masters Degree from NSU in Tahlequah. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Lenora Rogers. She leaves many loving memories with her family, son, Sherman Woodall; daughter, Jerri Mathia and husband Kenneth; a brother, Sherman Buzzard; two sisters, Mary Lou Davis and Juanita Hampton and husband Millard; four grandchildren, Joseph King, Bennie King, Keysha Mathia, and Anthony Woodall; Five great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6PM -8PM Monday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Eucha Cemetery in Eucha, Oklahoma, with Pastor Mike Stephens officiating.
