Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Juanita Maxine Cooper of Grove, Oklahoma died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Hillcrest Hospital, following a short illness. She was 94 years old. Mrs. Cooper was born on January 1, 1922 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to John and Bessie (McGeehee) Chenowith. On April 8, 1939 she married Bennie J. Cooper. They established their home in the Carr Community, east of Grove, later moving to the Hickory Grove Community. She spent the remainder of her life in Hickory Grove until an illness moved her to Claremore, Oklahoma. Maxine was employed in the banking business, eventually becoming Vice President of Grand Lake Bank, a title she held until her retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. Survivors include son, Larry and wife Karen of Lake Ozark, Missouri; daughter, Barbara Ballard and husband Benny of Claremore, Oklahoma, daughter in-law, Carol Cooper of Wichita, Kansas, brother Ross Chenowith of Henderson, Nevada, grandchildren; Gary Cooper of Wichita, Kansas, Carol Sue West and husband Robby of Wichita, Kansas, Derek Cooper and wife Danae of Lake Ozark, Missouri, David Costa of Dallas, Texas, Shawn Cooper of Lake Ozark; Brad Ballard and wife Carla of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Chrissie Christian and husband Brandon of Ada, Oklahoma; great grandchildren: Destiny Taylor, Janae Taylor, Mark Taylor, Shad Taylor, Aaron Cooper, Julia Cooper, Avery Cooper, Ashlyn Cooper, Tate Christian, Tanner Christian, Dillion Ballard, Makenzie Ballard and six great-great grandchildren. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Chloe Hill, Ruth Wilmoth, Rhonda Nall, Willie George, and a son Don Cooper. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-6 PM, Thursday, March 24, 2016, services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2016 both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Honoring Maxine's life by serving as casket bearers will be Brad Ballard, Brandon Christian, Tate Christian, Derek Cooper, Shawn Cooper and Gary Cooper.
