Juanita Remington

Juanita Faye Remington, age 68 of Bluejacket, went to meet her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2010 after a lengthy, but hard battle with rectal cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and kidney disease. She was born on August 5, 1942 in Vinita, OK to William Dee and Wanda Nelson. She was a loan teller at Turley Bank for many years before retiring to Tahlequah with her best friend and husband Raymond Remington, who preceded her in death in 2003. She has resided in Bluejacket for ten years to be near her beloved mother, Wanda Nelson. She is survived by three children, DeAnna Looper and husband Dean of Broken Arrow, Dennis Remington and wife Leigh of Collinsville, and Dana Remington of Bluejacket. She has one infant daughter, Nita Louise, who preceded her in death in 1964. She has two brothers, Bill Nelson and wife Linda of Sandsprings, and David Nelson and wife Karen of Vinita, eight grandchildren: Staff Sargent Jeff Looper of Kileen, TX, Tobie Stapleton of Broken Arrow, Amanda Stites of Tulsa, Jessica Hopper, Cody Hopper, and Madison Roy of Bluejacket, Blake and BayLeigh Remington of Collinsville, five great-grandchildren, Rhiannon, Jade, Raymond, Madelynn & McCartney Claire and one beloved pet Trevor. She was a devoted mother, daughter, and sister and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Casey Whiteis officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
