Judith V. "Judy" Pomfret, age 66 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, in St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Judith Vissman was born on November 7, 1949 in Niles Michigan. She was the daughter of Eugene Vissman and Natalyn (McClendon) Vissman. She moved to Huntington, West Virginia with her family at a young age where she received her early education. She went on to receive her Bachelors and Master's degree from Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia. After her graduation in 1971, she moved to Richmond, Virginia where she met the love of her life, Mike Pomfret. Judy and Mike were united in marriage on June 26, 1976 in Floydsburg, Kentucky. The couple moved to Bartlesville in 1984 where they have remained until her death. Judy was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bartlesville. She was an employee of Bartlesville Public schools, teaching at Kane Elementary and St. Johns Catholic school. Judy was active in many organizations, some of those being: Alpha Chi Omega, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), and several other professional societies. One of Judy's biggest joys in life, other than her family, were her dogs and their training. Survivors include her husband, Mike, of the family home; her son, Nick Pomfret and his wife, Morgan, of Bartlesville; mother, Natalyn Vissman of Ft. Wright, Kentucky; and brother, John Vissman and his wife, Christine, of Covington, Kentucky.
