Judy Lee Robinson, 55-year-old Nowata resident, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center. Mrs. Robinson was born December 6, 1954 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Jim Walls and Betty Jenkins-Walls. She grew up and attended schools in Fresno, California and later moved to Dewey, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school. Mrs. Robinson attended Rogers State College and Tulsa Community College where she obtained her Associate's Degree in Early Child Development. On August 11, 1973, she married Larry "Jim" Robinson in Bartlesville. Mrs. Robinson was working as a teacher at the Head Start where she was so affectionately known by her students as "Ms. Judy". Mrs. Robinson was known as a very outgoing and forgiving person. She loved her support group at Weight Watchers and her church family at New Life Assembly of God. Mrs. Robinson loved watching her grandchildren play baseball and basketball. She had recently been given the "Queen of Head Start" award which she cherished so much. Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband Jim Robinson of the home; by one daughter, Lisa and husband Joe Bush; by grandchildren, Logan Bush, Mason Bush, and Rylee Jo Bush; by two brothers, Jimmy Walls and fiancée Trudie, and Roger Walls; by half brother, Matthew Walls; by half-sister, Beverly; by mother-in-law, Vada Robinson; by sisters-in-law, Sue and husband Jim Hayes, Judy and husband Gary Helmick, Janet and husband Ernie Farbo, Linda Joan and husband Don Kinzer, Churbie Walls, Ruby and husband Bud Stark, Connie and husband Johnnie Swalley, Barbara Robinson, Vada Mae and husband Ken McAfee; by special uncle, Tommy Jenkins; by special aunt, Virginia Jenkins; by numerous nieces and nephews; by special friends, Sheryl Reeves, Jackie Templeton, Sue Holland, and Gail Inman; as well as by her special family at the Wauhillah Head Start. Funeral services for Mrs. Robinson will be held at 2:00p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the New Life Assembly of God in Nowata with Rev. Arlis Henegar officiating.
