June E. Bryngelson, a long time resident of Bartlesville passed away Thursday September 3, 2009 at her home. In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held on the family plot at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 505 SE Dewey, and Bartlesville, OK 74003. Friends may call for visitation at the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home on Sunday from 9am to 9pm and on Monday from 3pm to 9pm. Online Condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. June was born June 25, 1924 in Omaha, NE to Christine and Hans Christian Madsen. She grew up and received her education in the Omaha area. While completing nurses training at Immanuel Hospital, she married Jared L. Bryngelson on June 17, 1945. They moved to Bartlesville in 1957 where Dr. Bryngelson practiced Orthopedics for 33 years. He preceded her in death in 1992. June was a stay at home mother, fond of dogs and always had a pet. She raised swans for a time and kept a varied curio collection as a hobby. She enjoyed her friends, music, reading, and was especially proud of her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is survived by her three children; Jay Bryngelson and his wife Gene, Joan Tate and her husband Rick, Jean Elliott and her husband Ken, seven grandchildren: Ben Gerkin and his wife Caren, Kevin Witzel and his wife Kendyl, Kara Witzel Dodson and her husband Matt, Kyle Witzel, Jared, Jon, and Jennifer Bryngelson and 6 great-grandchildren: Savannah, Caleb, and Kaden Witzel, Macy and Madeline Gerkin and Chase Dodson.
