Vivian June (Stanislaus) Waller, former longtime Vinita resident, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Claremore Nursing Home. She was born on June 2, 1920 in Vinita to Ovel and Ina Aurelia (Smith) Stanislaus. She was a graduate of Vinita High School. June married William Jefferson "Bill" Waller on March 5, 1939 in Claremore, Bill was a well known New York Life Agent in Vinita, he preceded her in death on December 1, 1989. She was the bookkeeper for the Stanislaus Company in Vinita for many years, and was very supportive to her husband Bill in his business. June was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vinita and had taught the pre-school Sunday School Class for nearly 70 years. She loved her family life and the special trips to Branson each year with her children and their spouses. The family includes: a son William Doyle "Bill" Waller and wife Belva of Tahlequah, daughters, Diane King and husband L. D. of Glenpool, Susie Riggs and husband Gary of Claremore; sisters, JoAnn Wilkinson of Vinita, Linda Clanton of Vinita; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, brothers, Arthur Dale Stanislaus, 1944 in WW II, Oscar Doyle Stanislaus in 1994, and a sister, Lila Joy Stanislaus in 1972. The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Vinita, with Pastor Henry "Skip" McClain officiating.
