King, 89, lifetime Nowata County resident, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at The Journey Home Hospice in Bartlesville. He was born June 25, 1925 in Wann, Oklahoma to Vick and Blanche Marie (Davis) King. Junior grew up in northern Nowata County and as a young man worked for several of the well-known ranchers of the day. He married Elizabeth Bennett on August 3, 1962 at Miami, Oklahoma. Junior worked several years for Jencast and the Acme Foundry in Coffeyville, Kansas. He retired after almost 30 years of service to the Lenapah and Oklahoma Union Schools as custodian. Junior loved working outside, especially mowing his lawn and enjoying a cup of coffee. Junior is survived by five children, Cindy Kimrey and husband Jerry of Lenapah, Phil Allen and wife Donna of Edna, KS., Connie Smith of Parsons, KS., Mike Allen and wife Joyce of Chanute, KS., Sheryl Allen of Coffeyville, KS; one brother, Ted King of Lenapah, OK., sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vick and Blanche King; his wife, Elizabeth King; a daughter, Debra Allen; four brothers, Clyde King, Wayne King, Jerry King, Jack King; four sisters, Elizabeth Keys, Grace Hendrickson, Claudine Bailey, DorisThompson.
